Solid Conservatory Roofs and Conservatory Roof Replacements in Eastbourne and the Surrounding Areas
What are the Differences Between Conservatories, Orangeries and Sun Rooms?

It’s a question that many of our clients ask as the differences between conservatories, orangeries and sun rooms can be quite subtle at times. Each has its own unique features and can add space, value and style to all manner of properties throughout Eastbourne and the areas we cover.

ComfiSpace Ltd specialises in the installation of solid warm systems which negate the need for future repairs or conservatory roof replacements. Based in Hailsham, our team celebrates 50+ years’ combined experience in this specific and highly sought-after field.

Originally used for housing plants and protecting them from external conditions, conservatories must have at least 50% of their structure made from translucent materials, such as polycarbonate or glass. Installers can include low brick walls to complement the property’s aesthetic.

A combination of a conservatory and a modern house extension, orangeries consist of solid brick pillars and low-level walls. With larger windows on either side and sliding or bifold doors overlooking the garden, they can also be illuminated by the addition of roof lanterns.

Sun Rooms

Similar to conservatories, sun rooms are made mostly of framed glazing, usually between 75% and 90%. Where possible it’s best to install them in south-facing areas but, bear in mind they will overheat without our COMFIBOARD conservatory roof insulation panels.

So the basic differences relate to the amount of glazing fitted into each additional space.

The more glazing, however, the more chances of the interior reaching uncomfortable temperatures during the summer months. ComfiSpace’s solid warm conservatory roof installations comprise of specifically designed insulated panels which control the internal levels and allow you to enjoy an ambient and more comfortable atmosphere in your conservatory throughout the entire year.

Don’t bother with repairs or replacements. Talk to us in Hailsham about our professional service which involves the removal and recycling of your old conservatory roof and the fitting of our well-known and approved insulation panels.

Providing all services in-house, our Eastbourne clients are assured that we are a professional and experienced team with a proven track record and exceptional reviews.
